The PLAYR-FIT Business 5s tournament is an annual five-a-side football competition organised by PLAYR-FIT. The event provides local businesses with an opportunity to engage in friendly competition, promote team building, and network with industry peers. Each participating team receives a bespoke set of PLAYR-FIT jerseys featuring their company logo and colours, along with food & water on the day provided by our kind sponsors DELI LITES & Rockwell Water.

Beyond fostering camaraderie among businesses, the tournament serves a charitable purpose. Proceeds from the event are donated to local charities, notably PIPS Hope and Support (from 2021-2024), an organisation dedicated to suicide prevention and mental health services. Over the past three years, the tournament has raised more than £15,500 for PIPS, significantly contributing to help us with our community support efforts.

The 2025 edition of the tournament is scheduled to take place across 2 weeks at Newry Cages on Friday, June 6th & 13th. The entry fee is £200, with PLAYR-FIT covering the cost of the jerseys, ensuring that all entry fees go directly to our new charity partner, Southern Area Hospice Services.
