PLAYR-FIT has proudly presented Evora Hospice with a cheque for £9,650 following the outstanding success of this year's PLAYR-FIT Business 5s charity tournament.
Now firmly established as a highlight of the local business and sporting calendar, the annual event continues to grow year after year, attracting more teams, stronger community support, and an ever-increasing display of creative team jersey designs. Funds were raised through team entry fees, Gift Aid, an event-day raffle, and a £5 donation from every official event jersey sold through the PLAYR-FIT online shop.
The total donation will directly support Evora Hospice in continuing to provide compassionate care and vital support to patients and their families across the local community.
Sean Boyle, Senior Partnerships Executive at Evora Hospice, said:
"We are incredibly grateful to PLAYR-FIT for once again hosting the PLAYR-FIT Business 5s in support of Evora Hospice. The funds raised through this fantastic event will help us continue providing compassionate care and support to patients and their families when they need it most. Thank you to PLAYR-FIT, all the participating businesses, and everyone involved for making such a positive impact in our community."
The PLAYR-FIT Business 5s has become much more than a football tournament, bringing together businesses from across the region to network, compete, and raise vital funds for an important local cause.
PLAYR-FIT Director Kieran Quinn stated:
"We're incredibly proud of what the Business 5s has become and grateful to every business, participant, volunteer, sponsor and supporter who helped make this year's event our biggest and most successful yet. Raising £9,650 for Evora Hospice is a fantastic achievement, and we're delighted that the event continues to make a meaningful difference within our local community."
PLAYR-FIT would like to extend its sincere thanks to everyone who participated, donated, volunteered and supported this year's event. The generosity of the local business community has once again demonstrated the power of sport to bring people together for a worthy cause.
