The PLAYR-FIT team took to the pitch on Friday 15 May to face a select side from charity partner Evora Hospice in an entertaining 11-a-side clash, marking another successful day of football in support of the local community.
Now in its second year, the annual fixture brought together players, supporters and local businesses, with participants making donations to Evora Hospice to help support the vital care and services the charity provides across the community.

The match also officially launched the much-anticipated annual Business 5s Football Event, which will take place at the Newry City Cages on 5 and 12 June. The growing event will see more than 30 businesses and over 250 participants compete across two weeks, with teams wearing bespoke jerseys designed and supplied by PLAYR-FIT. All proceeds from the event will once again go directly to Evora Hospice.
The flagship tournament has continued to grow year-on-year, attracting increased community involvement while raising essential funds for the hospice and the incredible work carried out by its staff and volunteers.
Sponsors continue to play a key role in the success of the event, helping provide food, drinks and refreshments for participants and supporters. DELI LITES and Rocwell Water return as valued sponsors, while S&W Wholesale joins the event this year as a new partner - further reflecting the scale and continued growth of the tournament.
